After a recent injury and 15 months of not running, I purchased for the 2nd time, a pair of Asics Women's Gel Nimbus 11, as my first pair was the absolute best pair of running shoes I have ever had (and after 20 years of running consistently each and every day, that's alot of pairs of shoes).

Even with Thorlo socks, I found the toe box a bit large, and not as much cushion in the fore front of the shoe
as I remembered almost 2 years ago.

Comfort, stability and cushion were all there, but I did not feel as firm and "tucked" in, as an overall feeling with this shoe.

I would recommend this shoe, however, if you prefer a snug fit and a smaller toe box area, I would suggest possibly another Asics model.

As a side note, over the years I have switched from Sauconey, Mizuno and Asics, all wonderful in themselves as

I have been buying the GEL-Nimbus for something close to ten years. Even though they are expensive and I am poor, they are worth it, because my high arches love them. Seems like past versions might have been a bit more like clouds for your feet, but maybe I have just gotten used to them. I definitely recommend. Especially to really high arches. They hold up pretty well too. I replace about once a year with moderate use (couple times a week walking/running).

I’m a nurse and very particular about my shoes. My dept. changed to black and brown uniforms, and in looking for a shoe to match is how I found ASICS. What a wonderful coincedence that was! They feel great from the start,don’t make your feet feel hot, and my feet never hurt after work. I did add inserts per a podiatrist for my very high arches, but wore them for months before this with great comfort. Now when I try on another brand I can’t seem to adjust. I’m spoiled for ASICS!

Can’t quite identify what was different in the 12, but I started having knee pain and am now back to my trusty 11s. I’m scrounging all over online to stock up since they are endangered. Hate when that happens. Have stayed injury free in this shoe…no physical therapists or anything this year!

These are comfy, cushiony running shoes – but they are not very good for flat feet. They have very little arch support. (I put an insert in them and that helps.) On the other hand, they have great cushioning and feel almost “bouncy” when walking or running. Pretty comfortable overall. I also really like the way they look (I got the black/onyx color).

I am ordering my 4th pair of the Asics Gel Nimbus 11 today from Amazon, I want to make sure I have a spare in the closet if I need a clean pair on short demand. I have narrow feet, high arches, need lots of cushioning and I underpronate when I walk so buying a pair of comfortable shoes is not very easy. I have worn narrow sizes in New Balance and Saucony and though they initially fit pretty well, they ended up being too wide in the toebox when they were broken in. The narrow Asics has kept its comfy fit a year after buying them. The Gel Nimbus 11 also meets my need for high arch support and help with the underpronation issue when I walk. I have tried many running shoes, including other Asics, but I have found that the narrow option of the Nimbus 11 is the only pair that meets all of my needs. I don’t get color choices in narrow but have learned to appreciate the great fit of blue and white.

I have an older pair – same model, gel kanbarra 5. most comfortable pair of sneakers I have ever had in my entire life & I’ve been through quite a few. I am looking to buy another pair because they are so comfy!

I really want to love this shoe. I feel like I’m walking on a cloud. However, I have a slightly narrow heel and my heel slips in it. I tried to make this shoe fit… went down half a size and even used a runners loop. Ultimately, I will be returning them.

I needed a shoe that was comfortable for jogging/running on the treadmill and these are perfect. I have never owned a pair of asics but a lady i work with said they are the only comfortable brand she has found to work out in and she was right. I will definatley buy another pair of asics.
