Hendrix, morphed into Prince

A theory exists that if Hendrix had survived he might have eventually morphed into Prince… only a little taller. Both had a penchant for purple and, like his psychedelic ’60s mentor, Prince’s legend is steeped in his ability to pour raw sexual tension into both his guitar playing and on-stage presence. All of these attributes and so much more were showcased over the summer in a series of shows that made history.

Not only about prince and prince’s shows, watch interesting shows at Lambeau Field for your entertainment pleasures. Lambeau Field is an outdoor football stadium in Green Bay, Wisconsin, the home of the NFL’s Green Bay Packers. Opened in 1957 as City Stadium, it replaced the original City Stadium as the Packers’ home field. For that reason, it was also informally known as New City Stadium until 1965, when it was renamed in memory of Packers founder, player, and long-time head coach, Curly Lambeau, who had died earlier in the year. Other venues those have great views include texas stadium and Soldier field.

Prince Rogers Nelson was born June 7, 1958, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to John L. Nelson and Mattie Shaw. Prince’s father was a pianist and songwriter and his mother was a jazz singer. Prince was named after his father, whose stage name was Prince Rogers, and who performed with a jazz group called the Prince Rogers Trio. In a 1991 interview with A Current Affair, Prince’s father said, “I named my son Prince because I wanted him to do everything I wanted to do.” Prince’s childhood nickname was Skipper.

Prince is reported to have written hundreds of songs, some of which have been released by Prince under pseudonyms or recorded and released by other artists. Prince also has hundreds of unreleased songs in his “vault”. He has won seven Grammy Awards, a Golden Globe, and an Academy Award. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004, the first year he was eligible. In that same year Rolling Stone ranked Prince #28 on its list of the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time. Prince’s music has been influenced by Rock, R&B, soul, funk, blues, New Wave, electronica, disco, psychedelia, folk, jazz, and hip hop. His artistic influences include Ike Turner, Sly & the Family Stone, Parliament-Funkadelic, Joni Mitchell, The Beatles, Miles Davis, Carlos Santana, Jimi Hendrix, James Brown, Duke Ellington, Curtis Mayfield, and Stevie Wonder. Prince pioneered the “Minneapolis sound”, a hybrid mixture of funk, rock, pop, R&B and New Wave that has influenced many other musicians. experience the best concert at M&T Bank Stadium and other venues at www.ticketamerica.com.
